I note that the Act_OrderShipEmail.txt and other email pages are NOT listed in the help file with their NQV's.

DOH!

I want to edit the shipping emails to put Delivery Address before Invoice Address, so I need a list of the NQV's that can be used in ALL the email templates, and how to edit them where possible.

From trial and error, I can include the following:

DELIVER TO:

NETQUOTEVAR:DELIVERYNAME
NETQUOTEVAR:DELIVERYADDRESS1
NETQUOTEVAR:DELIVERYADDRESS2
NETQUOTEVAR:DELIVERYADDRESS3
NETQUOTEVAR:DELIVERYADDRESS4
NETQUOTEVAR:DELIVERYPOSTCODE
NETQUOTEVAR:DELIVERYCOUNTRY

INVOICE TO:

NETQUOTEVAR:INVOICENAME
NETQUOTEVAR:INVOICEADDRESS1
NETQUOTEVAR:INVOICEADDRESS2
NETQUOTEVAR:INVOICEADDRESS3
NETQUOTEVAR:INVOICEADDRESS4
NETQUOTEVAR:INVOICEPOSTCODE
NETQUOTEVAR:INVOICECOUNTRY

but that prints EXACTLY what was entered, so you always get 4 address lines.

Is there a way to edit how NETQUOTEVAR:CUSTOMER_DATA outputs its values so that Delivery Address comes before Invoice address???

Hi Andy

This can only be achieved by editing the perlscript - orderscript.pl. As it is this script that will send the customer email. There is no easy way I'm afraid.

What about a list of NQV's for the email txt files then? (the ones pc side, NOT server side - they are ACTINIC:: thingies, I dont need them!)
cheers!

Hi Andy

I will ask development to see if they have a list of NQVs for the email txt file.

Nadeem,

Another quick question - I think the answer is no but I will ask anyway. Is there any way to format the output of NETQUOTEVAR:ORDER_LINES?

Hi Dave

I'm afraid there is no way you could change the output of NETQUOTEVAR:ORDER_LINES

Hi Nadeem,

It would be good if the ORDER_LINES could be editable, as we have an issue where the columns are not lining up due to a couple of products that have longer product names than seems to be catered for in the template. Ideally I'd like to be able to edit it to cater for this, or have the ability for the "Description" column to have wrap around text.
Could this be added to the wish list please?

Many thanks,

Good morning, picking up on what Nick Shread mentioned regarding Product descriptionsproducts that have longer product names

I have a simple problem, as the template shortens the product decription to a point where it does not mean much to the customer.

_Lines Ordered_________________________________________________

DESCRIPTION QUANTITY PRICE COST

Green Essentials - Grow -

+ Postage 1 £##.## £##.##

No. Not Yet Shipped 1

Spring Cabbage ~ variety -

+ Postage 1 £#### £#.##

No. Not Yet Shipped 1

Autumn Bedding Selection

+ Postage 1 £##.## £##.##

No. Not Yet Shipped 1

First product is Green Essentials - Grow - , which is a book title and should read 'Green Essentials - Grow Vegetables (Organic Guides)'.

Is it possible to increase the length or wrap the desction text around as in the second product the variety name is missing which is not very useful.

Any help would be grateful recieved, take care Mash

Hi Mash,

As mentioned in the thread above your post, I think this is purelty one for the Wish List, but I have put this across to the development team and am awaiting a response.

Kind regards,

Thanks Bruce,

It would be very useful, do not want to change the way products are described, a lot of work and not very useful.

Please do keep me informed thank you Mash

Hi Mash,

As suspected, this is a wish list item and I will add your vote to the list.

I have the same problem with the width of the description column in my emails which I am sending to customers. The description contains important information (prescription details for glasses we make) which the customer needs to confirm to me is correct (if the order has been taken offline). At the moment I can't ask for confirmation because the description column is too narrow and the text doesn't wrap.

For off line orders you can actually manually enter any amount of detail required and send it out. I have tried it here and it works.
