View Full Version : Editing Navigation Links

I've altered the layout of my Nav links by using the various Netquotevars in the order that I want them to appear. But is there an easy way to remove the brackets that surround each link?

At the moment my links look like, [home] [Terms & Conditions] [Basket] etc.

I know I can replace these with images, but I'd like to keep text links and just lose those brackets!

Hope someone can advise.

Go into Advanced | Template Manager | Main tab and the Nav. Item template.

You will find the

<span class="actxxsmall">[</span> and <span class="actxxsmall">]</span> in there which controls this :)

I have already tried editing this template, but it doesn't seem to make any difference.

I have deleted the two [ ] from this template, but they still display when viewing in preview mode! I was wondering if there are any other templates involved.

Ooops, Just had a look at Design/options and it seems I am using images for Nav links after all. So that explains why my editing won't work.

This being the case, how do I switch to using text links?

Now I'm totally confused. I've just deleted a couple of images for Terms & Conditions using Design/Options/Layout and the link is still displayed.

So now I'm not sure if my links are text or images! Nothing I do seems to make any difference!

All sorted.

I am using text links! I realised that I was editing Nav.item under Brochure and not Nav.item under Main.

I've doubled my meds!

Thanks for your help Techno
