Hi

I have been asked to do some research for a customer.

Basically we are going to be building an actinic store for them but what they also want to do is to be able to do a print off their stock in a tidy format to be able to bind together and hand out to customers.

Now after a quick glance, the catalog summary report looks as though it may do the job for us but we ideally need it to drop in the pic of the product also.

Is there any way we can mod the reports to include a pic or are there any 3rd party add ons that we can use to produce this?

Also when printing, we would need to be able to print onto letterheaded paper so would need to be able to adjust the heights of the top or bottom license.

Many Thanks

Also as a last thought, we were planning on using catalog, would business offer any extra advantages?

http://www.mole-end.biz/ provides custom reports/labels and might be able to do the work you require in customization of those, but from a self help you would need Crystal Reports to do it yourself.

The main benefits of Business over Catalog (not an exhaustive list this) are:

1. Customer accounts and discounting abilities.
2. Quantity based discounting.
3. BOGOF (Buy One Get One Free) and other discounting abilities.
4. Coupon entry ability for further discounts.
5. Digital Download module included in Bus.
6. Link for Sage Line 50 and Quickbooks included.

But the list is more exhaustive than this, but those are some of the benefits.

Hi Martin,

Adding a picture to the reports for each product is actually a very hard thing to do. It has to be done in the program that prints the report rather than the report itself. We have done it in the past but is it not simple.

Someone posted on here a while ago with a very nice catalog printing solution - a search should find it.

You can find more information about crystal reports at the URL below :

My from experience, one thing that you will have to bear in mind is that v10 of Crystal Reports does not work with Actinic you will need the older v8.5 in order to amend.
