Hi Guys, to cut down on hand writing addresses into couriers manifest i was wondering if I could use something like dymos label writer. Will this print an address label direct from actinic? I'd appreciate any thoughts from anyone using a similar system

Thanks in advance

go and have a look at Jan's actinic plugins at www.mole-end.biz. There routines for sticky labels will be a lot cheaper and integrate..Tell he Jenny sent you! haha
There is sticky labels, special invoice paper and so much more.

Thanks Jenny but I export into sage and print off invoices from there so really need a stand alone labeller that will just print an address label that I can place in the manifest

Tony,

We are writing a set of plugin label reports for dyno label printers as it happens, it will be a month or two before it is released but we could sell you a pre-release version.

Our most popular solution for label printing are our integrated label reports, these are modified invoice, data entry or packing list reports with an extra delivery address positioned to print on the sticky label part of our integrated label paper. More details at the URL below :

Outstanding Jan, the label must be no greater than 15mm x 70mm,(to fit in the space on the manifest, it needs two per order). if you could recommend a particular model I would be happy to test for you and purchase a pre release version

Thanks Jenny.

I don't think that the dyno label writers are going to do the job for you because they only support certain label sizes and there isn't one small and wide enough for you. Take a look at this URL for details of printers and paper sizes and costs

I think that their might well be more label types available so it would be worth checking with dymo to see if there is something suitable.

Out of interest, what courier do you use?

Regards,

I use SDS Jan, www.sds.ie, thanks for the info actually the width is not too critical as long as its smaller than the width I gave earlier.
