Hi,

Is it possible to do the following?

I have say 50 products in one section, and only display the first 10, then have buttons to goto the next 10 etc etc.

I asked this question a long time back with v4, and was advised that the only way to do it was to have multiple sections with say 10 products in each section. Only downside to that was if you were say doing it by say letter of the product, and you have a new product you might have to move all the products down etc.

Thanks

Jason

you will have to divide the products into groups of 10 and then use the NEXT PREVIOUS code as described in the AUG

You dont have to have 10 each section you can have what ever you need.

For your example use 27 sections A,B,C,.......X,Y,Z

using NEXT and PREV will go along 1 letter at a time.

I thought that might be the case which is a shame, and really should be on the wish list. Its not practical if you have say 300 products in one category and you have to split it into sections of 10, just think if you had to add 1 item near the top, which means you would have to resize the whole list... lol not something i would want to embark on every other day when a new product is released

Thanks anyway

Just for your info, this is something we are exploring for the next major release.

2006 is this now viable?

You would still have to use the AUG to get to this.

Kind regards,

Hi Bruce, thanks we've been using it for a while, just wondered from what Chris had said whether it had been added at source.

Hi Bruce, thanks we've been using it for a while, just wondered from what Chris had said whether it had been added at source. No, I'm afraid this hasn't been added. I'm working on a better workaround for it at the moment, to use with a future release. For now though, you'll need to just manually create sub-sections.

Be a real asset to Actinic, at present I feel its the main place the system lets its self down. Anything to improve navigation can only be an plus to a web site.
