The templates that come with Actinic Catalog 6 aren't that good imo, does anyone know where you can get hold of some 'free' templates?
Cheers

There isn't anyone who does free templates for Actinic.
you have 3 options
1 DIY
2 pay for a template theme written by an actinc developer - there are a few who have some off the shelf design at a reasonable price
3 pay a designer to produce the design you want

It is quite difficult to produce an Actinic Theme and make it generic enough to be sold on.
You will have to way up the time involved in learning to design a site and on top of that convert it for use within Actinic.
We are one of companies Jo refers to as having pre made themes. If you e-mail me off list (details in user profile) I can send you details.

How easy is it to use templates from V7 with Catalog 6? There is a template in V7 i like and think i could modify it to look as i want?

You can take the design idea, and apply in to the v6 templates, you can't take the v7 templates to put into v6 as the background coding won't work

Why don't you just go somewhere like www.templatestore.com where you can get a decent design template for around $60. Worth a try methinks if you want to do it yourself

If you see a template you like you can always have it converted to Actinic
