My company web site was developed by another company. I have Actinic version 6 and while I can add brochure pages etc and upload them I cannot make any changes to my home page. I have tried to download my current site with WS FTP and checked out the home page with Frontpage 2000. I have tried to copy and paste the updated parts that I require into my Home/Fragment page but when I look at the offline preview all the formatting symbols are visible. I cannot risk uploading that to the server.

How can I include the current site into my Actinic and make the modifications that I require?

Hi there

To make changes to the home page, you will need to edit the overall layout, so the brochure homepage overall layout is from a file called Act_BrochurePrimary.html.

Store pages uses the Act_Primary.html template.

Have a read through the Designing with Developer (http://www.actinicdownloads.com/docs/user_guides/DesigningWithActinicDeveloper.pdf) guide to see how actinic works with templates.

Kind Regards

with Frontpage 2000

do not use Frontpage with Actinic. Notepad or Dreamweaver are the preferred editors. In fact most HTML editors except FP
