sending up dates

When I tried to upload changes for the catalog a message came up saying I needed to refresh the site I tried this but it failed at sending base files. When I now go into the catalog for the first time a message appears saying oldtext.fil,oldprice.fil and oldprod.fil will be completely refreshed but it still fails at sending base files. Is there anyway I can fix the problem that seems to be in base files?

Try removing all *.fil files from the Site1 folder and from the acatalog folder online and then refreshing the store.
