summary of last few items ?

on a product page, i've got my basket showing the total number of products in the basket and the total cost, but what i'd like to be able to do is show the last 5 (or 10) items that were placed in the basket.

is this possible?

If this is possible, I don't know how to do it. And by the look of the silence on this thread, no-one else has any ideas either.
