Is it possible to create a navigation menu for Actinic that expands and contracts to show the subsections - something similar to this site?

http://www.silvertime.co.uk/

I have been playing with the sections and subsections tree but haven't yet managed to get a similar result.

You could look at NorTree or NorCascade. Not identical to what you want but automatic. They're on www.drillpine.biz/actinicstuff/ A recent site that used it is http://www.celebrations-party.co.uk/ so you can see it in use there.

Thanks for that Norman

NorTree looks like it will do nicely once I get it installed - I get a 16bit Windows Subsytem error when I run setup.exe

Thanks once again

Never heard of that before. What are you installing from the 5Mb download? Also you can try the NorCascade one instead.

I think I have must have something wrong with my main computer because I have just installed Nortree on the laptop with no problems.

The Nortree installation zipfile is only 800K. Maybe I am missing something?

It's OK. That 800Kb sounds right. I erronously gave you the size of an older program that reads the Actinic database and is HUGE.

You can try installing the NorCascade profgram and see if that loads OK. You can always uninstall if you don't intend to use it.

I've now managed to install NorTree on the laptop and it was working fine. I will see what this one can do then try the Cascade prog too to see which I prefer.

I was having a few probs with a rogue index.htm page appearing so I decided to uninstall then reinstall Actinic to start from scratch. Unfortunatley I am now getting merge request errors so I'll have to sort that out before testing the new menus!

Thanks for your help
