Hello... we're having a weird problem:
Registered users cannot login to the site. Even when
the proper user name and password are used, they receive the message:
"No such user (or invalid password...) "
These are the things we have tried to correct the problem:
1. Refreshed the site
2. Followed the instructions to fix this problem from the knowledge base:
http://www.actinic.com/knowledge/acatalog/Knowledge_Base_Customer_Accounts_a
nd_Prices_64.html#aGC81
(including refreshing the site again)
3. Changed the script ID in the Network setup to "2" to make sure it wasn't
a cache problem (and re-uploaded the site)
We're still receiving the same error.
Can anybody think of any other things we can try?
Thank you.
Brendan

Try creating a new customer account (with a very simple username and password) and see whether you can log into that. That will confirm whether the problem is with cached data or with the online store itself.

Hi Chris,
Thanks for your help. We tried putting in the test account and it proved that it was not a cache problem.
The reason it took us awhile to get back to you is we also upgraded to v 4.1.1 and refreshed the web site....
This opened up a whole new can of worms...
Now we can login, but when we do all of the template images are broken and every catalog page you try to access gives the message:
"No such user (or invalid password...) "
Then it redirects you to a page that says:
"A General Script Error Occurred
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Error: Bad input string "&REFPAGE=END". Argument count 2.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Press the Browser back button and try again or contact your ISP."
Any suggestions?
Sure Solutions just keeps telling me to upgrade to Version 5 which I think is ridiculous... this feature should be working in this version.
Thanks for your help Chris (and anybody else willing to pitch in)
Brendan

It looks likely that the solution on the forum you mentioned would not have helped you here, so I suggest the first thing to do would be to copy all *.pm and *.pl files from your 'Original' folder into your 'Site1' folder and then refresh the site.
Can you also post up your URL and a username and password for us to try out the site.

Here's another thing to try. It could be that your customisations to the login page hanve broken it. In which case....
Rename your current 'Act_LoginPage.html' file that is within your 'Site1' folder to 'Act_LoginPage2.html' or something. Then copy in the 'Act_LoginPage.html' file from 'formats/themes/Business' into yout 'Site1' folder and upload the site.
If this works then you will need to reapply your design changes to this file.

Hi Chris,
That worked! Thank you very much... I'm posting a new problem though (maybe you can help us with that too :S)
