Invalid Charecters

When trying to upload our new site we get the following error:
The CGI script detected invalid charecters in the file path.
Check your web site details. Make sure your paths (directories) contain safe (alpha-numeric) charecters.
Command: date Filename:

Any help would be appreciated, as I have not a clue where to look.

Hi Steve - have you any section or page names that contain non alphanumeric characters eg * ", etc .... should keep to a-z, 0-9 and underscores
