View Full Version : Search Page Accuracy
LDTV

I run a tv production website - www.ldtv.co.uk - using actinic and list many products in each sub section. Therefore when my prospective customers use the search feature i would like them to be able to be directed to the most accurate product. However, I have found that the search facility actinic provides search by sub section accuracy, not product. So instead of being shown to the most valid product, my customers are often shown to the most valid section, which is in some cases not the correct one at all.
Is there any way to correct this?
Thanks
Jon

try View|Search settings
one of the options there will remove the section from the results

I tried that, it removes entire "sections" form the search, but it does not remove "sub sections". If anyone who wants more information could goto www.ldtv.co.uk and try the search with, for example. "game shoot". The top result will not be "game shoot" but clay shooting. Can anyone help me here?

Hi Jon,
Try unticking "Add Section Information to Product Text when indexing" in "View | Search Settings | Options". See if this works.
Kind Regards
