accept ad hoc payments

is this scenario possible using actinic

i send out a quotation for goods not specifically lsited on website, customer goes to website and enters the order no and amount to pay then it gets processed by worldpay or whatever and i receive email that an order has been placed for order# XXXX and ££££££ have been paid by ????????

I do this by creating a customer account for ad hoc payments with it's own price schedule. I then add the product to represent the ad-hoc payment and edit the prices so that this product is only available for that particular price schedule. It works well - but I think that you need business to do this.

Ways to do this with catalog include adding a £1 product and asking your customer to purchase the appropriate quantity of them.
