Hierarchical import to... hide most products from non-registered buyers...?

We've got a catalog 95% finished, and the requirement is now to hide most of the products to anyone NOT a registered buyer, and to NOT show the "public" products to registered buyers - not too hard I think.. but the products are all linked to an external spreadsheet, and it doesn't appear to be something we can do in this kind of linking (just like pricing at multiple levels).

I never got to grips with hierarchical imports, but if someone could give me a hierarchical import to make 1 product not enabled and not visible using a hiearchical format and a pricing schedule, I can work out the rest

Now I find out that there are some "shared" products - ie, show to both registered and unregistered customers at different pricing - when is product linking to an external source going to be able to cope with this?
