HI,
Just a quick question. Im about to start doing web links to other websites. Im just wandering what is the best and easiest way to do this. Is it to set up a links page and just put all the links in that? or is there a better way. I've gone through this forum and looked at websites, some have a link's page others don't, im just wandering what the others do.
Many thanks

I do it in several ways - I have links in with the products to relevent sites (that are not competing - eg overseas suppliers) and also a links page to other companies we trade with in a similar field of operation - again these are carefully selected so as to be in context with the site and not steal trade.
I just use a fragment and in the text area implement the HTML code eg:
!!<<a href="http://www.site.com" target="_blank">Other Site</a>>!!

Thanks jont,
So to do what you suggest, do i just right click on a relevant product, add a new fragment and insert a revelant link. Just one more question. What do you call the fragment title.
Many thanks

Hi Rob,
yep - you can either add into the text area of a fragment beneath the product or add into the product description field itself. If you set the fragment to "Text Only" you can then enter gibberish into the title field (which is still required) as this is not shown on the web site

I have been working on a links page but only on a separate page and not with products.
Take a look at the way I use fragments.

Just a note Duncan on the page:
http://www.giftsline.com/acatalog/Giftsline.com_Links_page.html
if you for eg click on the orange dot alongside:
www.egyptianwonders.co.uk or
www.business-gifts-co.com
you get a page error.

Thanks Duncan, I had the Links URL ticked. A legacy when I was deciding what to do with the fragment.
The images are not meant to link only the the links in the body of the descriptions.
Thanks again for pointing it out.
