Importance of Snapshot Syncing

I've just uploaded a site on behalf of a client (www.ahapremier.com) which I have upgraded from their old V6 version of Developer into V7. They are now managing the orders successfully using V7 and I am updating the content.

I wanted to know just how much I can do on the site (and upload) without it having any unwanted implications on my client downloading the orders.

Any help would be much appreciated.

We use Developer and have several sites. One of which is maintained by myself but all orders are downloaded upstairs on a second machine. Both sites are on the same version number (v7.0.4) ... I only need to send a snapshot to the order machine when I have upgraded a version (7.0.3 to 7.0.4 etc). Any changes I make to the site have not impacted on the order machine and their ability to download.

Note that we do not use stock control.
