Anyone got a programme that can appy semi-transparent text `quickly`?
Basically in `paste` like form?
Can do it in PSP but its a bit long winded excercise for 2000+ images.
(Text needs to be rotated too if that makes any difference).

I use FastStone Photo Resizer 2.0 Freeware for all this sort of thing. Great little program.

We have used http://www.watermarker.com/ before to protect images.
Works great and you can run in batch mode.

Good tip Duncan, only thing is I cannot see how to rotate the text. Could save and use it as an image though as a workaround.
Away to try watermarker now...
Thanks lads, much appreciated.

There is a unsupported CSS technique for overlaying transparent GIF's over other images... but it is not widely supported - especially by the mighty Internet Explorer of which the vast majority of the world still seem to be using.
If things change this would allow for easy alteration of the overlaying image and keeps the original image intact but does not prevent users entering the original image URL into the browser and then saving without the overlay but would deter the casual right click thief

in psp you can record an action and then run it on all files in a folder - it's fairly easy once you've done it once....
