Hi,
I have added an optional extra to some products, but there is a problem.
When the option is selected with the main product and added to the cart the price of the extra is not added.
Can you please tell me what setting I need to change.

Read the user manual - it clearly tells you how to do this.

In main product "general" window make sure you have the pricing model set to product and components (ar as applicable) and that your optional component has its own pricing structure set properly.
