Actinic Catalog and Plus Net

Hello. I hope someone will be able to help me. I am at the moment a complete novice with catalog, but have at least got it uploaded to Plus Net. However because Plus Net has its cgi-bin running on a separate server to my homepage all of catalog is on the cgi server. Anyone know what congiguration settings I need to host catalog with a www.grevillehodgson.co.uk address on my homepage server, with all the scripts (if that is the right phrase running on a different server. Plus Net dont seem to be any help, and suggest referring the situation to Actinic.

If you are using v6 (which I will assume you are) then you have the abililty to run the store on one server and the checkout on a different server which has SSL on it . The only restriction is you need to have what is called a 'network file path' between the SSL server and the normal server.

This setup is complicated and does require a certain amount of technical knowledge, but it is possible. An extensive guide to this sort of setup is available in the main Actinic Help in 'Advanced - Putting Your Store Online | Setting up Actinic on both an HTTP and SSL server'. Have a look through it. If you cannot get to grips with it then I would suggest you run it under the noses of Plus Net and see what they make of it.
