Version 3 export query

I am running Version 3 and have installed the software on a new computer. To transfer my catalogue is it just a case of doing a backup on old machine and importing that backup onto new machine? Or do I do a restore from the backup and do it that way? Thanks!

I would take a copy of site1 from the old machine and replace site1 on the new machine with it.

Also take a copy of the security keys(housekeepingMenu) and paste these into the new pc
