Hi there
I am very new to Actinic and trying to upload the store to the uk-upload.demonco.uk server and actinic keeps on freezing on me and then shuts itself down.
I have tried following the wizard but obviously doing something wrong along the way.
Our intention is to use demon to host the store and then secure hosting to process the order.
Any advice and help would be greatly appreciated.

Before attempting to upload. After entering your network settings (either manually or with the wizard) you can then choose the Test button, which will test that your settings etc are correct.
If you can't find the problem then export and post your network settings (without login and passwords) on the forum and perhaps someone can comment on the settings.

I don't think Actinic works on Demon.
I've had a couple of people move to me after failing to upload with Demon. I can't remember the whys and wherefores, but it might be file permissions that Demon won't allow.

I help with the Snowlines site that's been running OK on Demon "Showroom" for about 4 years. This uses uk-upload.demon.co.uk. There may be more than one package type available nowadays, so it may help to tell us what type of package and server you're using.
There used to be some quirk with regards to Demon running the cgi scripts on a diiferent server, and this requires some unusual Network settings. I believe there may be notes in the Knowledge Base (link at top of this page) about this.
