Virtual PC + Windows 2000 + BT Openworld

I seem to have a real problem. I am using a mac, with virtual PC on it running Windows 2000, and connecting to the Internet with BT openworld ADSL.

The problem is that when I test the site (or use the wizard) under 'Adanced Setup' I get very unpredictable results.

Sometimes it works fine and tests successfully, other times it will just hang for a few minutes - usually around the 'testing write permissions' bit. I have made sure my permissions are correct - and besides it works occasionally!

I thought I'd upload the store anyway, and it will upload a few files, then change the permissions, and then unpredicatably it will just hang again. Minutes later I am told of the timeout, and I continue. Eventually it all uploads.

Any ideas anyone?

Sorry to hear of your problems.

When uploading, does it stick on the same file each time, or does in vary?

Also, do you have another method of connecting to the Internet, i.e. a modem? This way you can see if your connection has something to do with the problems.
