Hello All,
I am using Actinic 6 , and needed to know if it was possible to enable a email response from the customer to confirm an order. When an order is placed by the customer and email is sent to the customer. What I want is that the customer should respond to this email or click a link on this email to confirm his order.
IF this is possible with Actinic can you please guide me how to go about it ?

Actinic allows making purchases online without having to provide credit card info (Invoice on delivery), due to which anyone can use some other persons info to place an order, and play a trick on them , the only way to confirm such an order will be to use the email reponse from the customers email address. I was just wondering if such a feature exists in Actinic or not ? As even for this message boad subscription you require an email confirmation, so why not do that for placing an order :)

I will add your request to the wish list. As a short-term fix, you could add an email link into your email template (Act_CustomerEmail.txt) for customers to click on. This won't be integrated with Actinic, but it will allow you to see who is serious.
Aother thing to be aware of is that I have never come accross an ecommerce site that does this. It may freak customers out a little.

Hello Chris,
Thank you so very much for your quick response, I do think that some customers might want to enable this option of email response being required for confirmation of order, as this can always be kept as an optional item that can be enabled by the site owner.
