Up-sell quantity

Hi

Could anyone please advise how I could have a seperate field for quantity or allow the user to change the quantity of an up-sell item which has been created using a component ?

Component quantities are always tied into product quantites so there is normally no way to edit quantities separately.

One thing I have advised people to do before is to create a component with a range of choices called 'Pack of 2', 'Pack of 3' etc. and then assign each choice an appropriate price within the 'Permutations' tab of the component.

You could also create a component with a 'Quantity' value of '2' (i.e. for every product bought, two component are added) and then one with a Quantity of '3' etc. This creates a series of check boxes for quantity selection.

The best solution is to create two separate products and then set the 'Shopping Mode' to 'Quantity on product page'. You can edit the product layout HTML to lay out the product and the upsell next to each other.
