Discounts on group purchasing

Hi,

I have an on-going offer where I have an item that is purchased with most orders. This item you get 50% discount off when you buy a range of other related items.

How would I make this happen using the Actinic store?

So basically I want to be able to give an item a price, but if the Shopping Cart also includes one of a number of other items, the price for the 'special offer item' is 50% cheaper?

I've searched the web, actinic files, site and forum, and obviously as a last resort only have the forums.

Hi John

Please refer the steps given below to set 50% off on a product when purchased with a range of other products.

1) Create a product group and assign all the products which you want to combine with the discount product.
2) In View | Discount and Surcharge settings | 'Cart Contents' tab,
4) Against 'Show Discounts of Product Groups" select theproduct group which you have created
5) Create a New Discount by clicking on the 'New' tab..
a) Create 50% Off discount
b) In the 'General' tab, select 'Enabled'
c) 'Based On' to show 'Value Excluding Tax'
d) 'Trigger' at '2'
e) Under 'Rewards' .. 'Reward Type' at '% off extra product'
f) 'Reward Amount' at '50.00'
g) Select the special offer product from the drop down menu
6) Apply the settings and upload your site.
