Minimizing sections on the Lefthand side

Hi all,
I have 26 sections and 226 subsections and just over 5000 items. Is it possible to be able to minimise the sections on the left hand side of the page to just the header sections and then, click on one of those sections to expand the subsection??

I've also got one that expands and collapses the chosen section. It's not posted as way too may people just help themselves. You can see the same menu, configured completely
