I am having trouble finding anyone who is able to integrate able 2 buy into my actinic web site.
Has anyone every done this?
I can't be the only person wanting to offer my customer the choice os interest free credit etc?
Is there anyone who has found an alternate provider of credit that is actinic friendly?

We also want to integrate able2buy - but have hit a brick wall with Actinic and able2buy
- our initial thoughts at this time - why do both parties think this is so complicated?
Are we missing something?
We would be happy to pay for this work....................any thoughts?

It is very frustrating there must be loads of web store owner like us that would pay £'s for the integration, after all, they are the only online finance company I have come accross.
Maybe able 2 buy have an exclusive deal with another shopping cart solution provider perhaps when it comes to upgrading I will choose another shopping cart solution that integrates more easily?

Have Able 2 Buy said they won't integrate with Actinic, as the majority of CC companies who want the business from ecommerce actually get the integration pack from actinic and do it themselves.

I would suggest giving Sales a shout on 0845 129 4800.
Well I did just that before, before my last post, they pointed me at
http://www.actinic.co.uk/services/acatalog/Payment.html and the message was that if they [they in our case being able2buy] weren't listed then 'tuff' [not in so many words you understand]
Here is the able2buy protocol

I have spoken to their integration guru who basically said Able 2 buy is not compatable/easily integrated into actinic.
He then suggested I contact Astute (could be paying commission)who have an online ecommerse solution that is able 2 buy ready.
I have been using actinic for 3 years now like the package, gotten use to it and don't want to redesign my site upsetting my google rankings etc.
I just think that if actinic has gone to all the trouble of integrating with all the psp's why not work with able 2 buy?
There must be several 100 customer like me who would pay £100 for the patch (Bolt on) just do the maths.
If I was a bit more clued up I would develop the Bolt on (just do the maths).
After all finance is one of the best marketing tools available to the retailer.

I'm no techie, but I reckon it has to be a doddle for Actinic and able2buy to do, if they put their heads together. After all its only the same transfer of data that all the others listed at http://www.actinic.co.uk/services/acatalog/Payment.html use. Looks like Actinic and able2buy are missing a trick here and given able2buy's rapid growth both could earn an extra shilling or two if they got smart.
This is a call to please get smart guys - who at Actinic is going to pick the phone up and talk to able2buy
here are their details

Hi there
To integrate able2buy to Actinic, the company (Able2Buy) would need to purchase the PSPToolkit from the Sales Dept. This would allow them to create a gateway for Actinic to their system with the help of our developers. This is what all the other PSP have done in the past, purchased the PSPToolkit and developed a gateway.
Kind Regards
Sales@Actinic

Just to re-iterate what Nadeem has mentioned, Actinic does not build the gateway, the PSP does. From my own experience, the PSP is better placed at building the integration and may have more resource to do so. Sorry we can't be of more help.

Horrah we have the solution and that's very positive - thank you all for the input.
Just one open question..................
Do able2buy BUY the PSPToolkit from the Actinic Sales Dept or does the Sales Dept get on the phone and SELL it to them.
As I said in a previous post - the two companies are missing a trick here and now we have identified the trick............
1. Actinic get a sale of the PSPToolkit
2. able2buy enpower their clients to win able2buy more business
Everyone wins :)

I'm a cynic - when I see multiple threads on the same subject, with rapidfire posts by the same two members, I ask myself what's the scam.

I normally wait to be approached by the PSP as 99.9% of them refuse our advances unless they themselves have a customer screaming at them for the integration.
I have checked our DB and do not have an up to date contact at Able 2 Buy. If you do have someone there that you would like me to talk to, then send me a PM and I will see what I can do.

To Mark
Thanks for your efforts, fear not this is one able2buy customer is screaming at them for the integration and I have fowarded your details to them.
To Bill the cynic
Rapidfire posts by the same two members, is it a scam or merely two people which is the minimum requirement for a conversation.
Thanks for all the input - I believe progress has been made and the community has helped resolve another problem for at least a couple of Actinic clients.

A script is now available to integrate Actinic stores with the able2buy credit application system. See www.able2buyintegration.co.uk for more information.
To see a site using this integration go to www.guitars.co.uk....
