Allowing the indescriminate use of H tags could cause problems with the search engines seeing it as "Black Hat" and penalising the site.

Malcolm, could you clarify what you mean by 'indiscriminate' tag use please?

You can now apply H tags to almost any part of the text on the site, people may get the idea that H1 tags are very interesting to the SEs and apply them out of context.

that is probably something outside of the boundaries of the software.
some of us who know what to do with are are going to want them there for prudent usage, but you can't restrict those who know what they are doing by closing it out for those wh dn't

restrict those who know what they are doing by closing it out for those wh dn't b Agreed - but I think it should only be available in the design section not in the content area. people who know what they are doing will know how to use the design area and you are right it is a valuable addition. You could do it in V7 but it was not quite so easy and available.
