New client device - help!

Hi,

I have purchased a laptop to administer all aspects related to my online business on Actinic 6 & want to transfer all data across to this new client.

Software History is thus:
I bought the version 5 release, then downloaded the upgrade & have since downloaded a further upgrade (not sure which now!)

Obviously I havnt got a single disc with the complete Actinic release as I have added to it -

What is the best way to transfer Actinic & all related images etc ?(images are contained within a folder in 'my documents' - rightly or wrongly!)

Any recommendations greatly appreciated.

Go to 'Help | About Catalog' and look there at the Version numder. It will probably look something like this:

6.1.2.0.0.0.DDVA

If it does then you are on the latest and greatest version of the software. If it says something else then I suggest you get the latest and greatest by registering at:

http://www.actinicdownloads.com/v6/r_catv6.htm

You will be able to download a patch but also a full version. You can use this full version to install Actinic on the laptop.

To transfer the site, go to 'File | Export Snapshot' on your current PC to export a snapshot. Import it again with 'File | Import Snapshot' on the laptop.

Because all your images are in 'My Documents', then you import the snapshot you will have a folder within the 'SIte1' folder on the laptop called 'NOT_CATALOG' which will contain all the images. You will need to copy them to a 'My Documents' folder on the new PC.

Thanks for the help Chris - probably basic stuff I should know but when your running your own business there are a million things to try to do. Unfortunately my laptop was delivered yesterday & doesnt work!!
