Temporarily Close Store

Hi All,

Does anyone know of a way to temporarily close the store to prevent visitors from ordering? Obviously this does help the implementation and testing in a live environment.

I am also interested to hear how you all handle a 'cleanup' of all your test data prior to deployment to ensure there is no historical sales data (testing) carried into the live store. The ability to be able to test in a live environment before activating the store is very useful.

You can switch off ordering in view / business settings on the ordering tab, tick the option to say that ordering is suspended. You have to upload the catalog for this to take effect.

If you want to test in a live situation though, you are better off switching the catalog to test mode and uploading to there.
