Hi
could we have another payment method or can someone tell me how i can add my own.
What i need is one similar to credit card details sent seperately but i want a cheque sent seperately. The one on there is cheque sent on delivery - me i do not send anything without getting the money first. Sorry been stiched up to many times now, i do not trust anyone
or how do i change the cheque sent on delivery as i would never use this one
Cheers
Darren

You can rename it in the 'Web Site Description' field in the grid in the 'Payment and Security' tab. Call it whatever you like.
It is also worth doing a search for 'Cheque on Delivery' in 'Design | Text' to see if there are any other references to it hidden away.

On this same theme, is it possible to add 2checkout to the list of providers?

Hi Chris
Thanks for reply, I have already changed the web text to say "cheque payable to XYZ" and the the occurances in the text do not help either
it is the actual payment method that is confusing the only option is "Cheque on Delivery" and this it what shows up when you download an order. I am concerned that someone will see this and send stuff out without payment

Darren. I've just tested this in v8 and the order came down with a payment method of 'Cheque Before Delivery' i.e. it uses the changed name I had set up in Business Settings.

Hi
O/T
Is it possible to add another provider or does it need to be done at source?

Adding a new payment service provider isn't trivial. We have a PSP Integration Toolkit availabel to Perl developers, but that costs £1,000.
Sorry about that.

if you've been using actinic for one hour only, its probably time to take a step back and downoad the documentation to have ot hand, this will help tremendously with your learning curve.
go the the actinic site, downloads, then find designers guide, anvanced user guide and other very useful docs.
also be aware of the search feature on these forums and the knowledge base.
