Sorry to bother you - I've been having a problem with that old chestnut of getting the correct sale price with the right amount of VAT too.
I've used a suggestion I found in one of your previous posts but I'm having a problem getting the ' % ' sign to be displayed.
This is the instruction I've followed
You must set the 'Tax Treatment' in the 'Details' tab of the product to 'Custom' and then set the exact amount of tax to be added to the product in the 'Custom Tax' field. You will then have to go to Design | Text | ID 219 and change this prompt to: (Including VAT @ 17.5%)
This will solve the rounding problems.

The calculation does work but I've had to replace the % sign with 'percent' for now but would rather have the % if possible. Can you offer any suggestions?
