Deleting characters from "Scan Code"

In the sales screen where it says "Scan Code", I cannot get it to delete any characters if I put in the wrong code. I've tried pressing the backspace or delete button, but I have to end up clearing the whole sale, or going out of the sales screen and then back into it, before I can enter the correct code. Is there any way to delete the characters without doing this?

Hi there

If you want to clear the characters in the scan items box, click on the 'clr' button with the red cross on it.

You will get a message saying 'Confirm clear sale', if you select No, then the sale will remain, but the scan items box will be cleared.

OK, that works, but I think it would be easier if you changed it so that you could just backspace in that box
