Can anyone help by hosting me to check out my site

I am in deep trouble using Fasthosts. all was well untill yesterday when my sites started to play up.

At present I cannot upload to Fasthosts and even have trouble using FTP

What I would like to do is check out my end of the argument by loading my site onto another server for a hour or so to prove where the problem is I.E at Fasthost or my own computer

Many thanks for your sugestion.

I have just tried to load it at actinic site and got the same problem it timed out half way through.

This looks like a problem at my end

Before I re-install actinic what files do I have to save as I have two sites and would like to uninstall actinic then reinstall

I would suggest in:

1. Taking a snapshot of both your sites.

2. Backing up all of your customisation templates

3. Backing up all of your pictures.

Re backing up before re-installing.

I'd copy all your Site folders to somewhere safe as that will definitely contain everything. Except your security codes as they're held in the registry. They can be seen in Actinic / Housekeeping / Security. Copy and paste everything there into a textfile and keep it safe as you will need identical settings when you re-install or any existing orders won't download.

Could any of you do a check purchase on both of my sites to check they are OK now.

Question
If you go into say site 1 would you expect to see all of your Jpeg files or just some. are the snapshot and actinic just using html files after initial entry. I ask as my site British-outdoors only has a few of my jpegs showing under site 1 but looks ok to me

To all who helped my many thanks

Two reloads of windows xp and three of actinic plus transfers to another computer eventualy got both sites back up and running

Problem looks like the inbuilt modem freezing up when asked to do a bit of work but not in normal operations. very strange

Still again many thanks and sorry to have initially blamed Fasthosts.

Trial site was a great way of proving where the problem was.
