View Full Version : Paypal Pro // Shopping Cart Empty

Hi All,

1) I have had a few where peolpe are trying to checkout with goods in the shopping basket but it is saying " Cart Empty". This is after a new user has presses next in the shopping cart.

2) I am a registered user with Paypal Pro and have been told by Paypal that you have integrated this but cannot seem to add / change this in the payment methods. Paypal Pro means I have a merchant account and so someone can go on my website , key in their card details (on my website) and then I get the funds into my Paypal account and advised this by e-mail. It is different than the normal Paypal module. Please let me know on this as I really want to get this started. I have the Paypal Pro functioning ok so can do payments via a virtual terminal but want it setup on my website. Paypal have confirmed Actinic have this function working .

to integrate paypal wih actinic, go to payment and security tab, choose paypal from the list of payment providers, when you configure your merchant ID is your paypal email address.

Thats it....

Hi Brad

With regards to point 1) - do you have any domain forwarding on your site (i.e. people browse via one web address but they are actually going to a different web address). This can sometimes cause Actinic to lose track of who the customer is that is shopping - and therefore can make the cart appear like it has just been emptied.

With regards to 2) I think this works with the full Actinic Catalog/Business program, but not Actinic Express.

Hi Brad,

Actinic Express does have a pilot integration with PayPal Pro. During this pilot stage, we will be installing the PayPal Pro interface individually for each merchant that wants to use it, and then the merchant will be able to configure it using the administration interface.

To enable us to proceed with installing the PayPal Pro inteface we need some basic information:

Name

Email

Phone number

Store ID

Password (if you are happy to let us have it so we can verify the installation)

This integration is presently only available for Actinic Express users. Chris was not aware of this at the time of posting yesterday, so I thought I should update it.

Once we have the above information, best method will be to call in support and give in these details, we can proceed with installation.
