Hi,
Just had my first order from my Actinic Express store (yipee!) and I didn't get an email notification. I know this has been an issue with many other people's sites but I have read through the posts below and can't really find any help. The order does say pending so I don't think it is the same problem as has been mentioned before.
Is there anything I can check or set up differently?

Hi Ali,
You could take a look at the e-mail options on the Setup Store drop down tab on the management page. Take a look to see what options are ticked, that might reveal why.
Cheers,
Paul

Hi
Everything is ticked except "Send invoice on completing order". It looks to me though that these selections are for the customer emails, there is no selection for whether or not you receive an e-mail yourself. I am guessing it is automatically assumed that this should happen.
Looking at the other Actinic boards (i.e. not just for Express) it looks like it is a common problem. As I am not going to be getting many orders initially it is going to be really annoying to have to check in every day to see if I've got any orders. I guess when there are some orders every day it isn't so bad as you have to print invoices etc anyway.
Someone suggested that I should BCC the customer's emails to myself and that would serve as notification. I will do that, but I think I just don't really trust the system.
I can't even imagine how complicated the whole set up for this must be for the Actinic technical folk, but it does seem to be a general problem that lots of people have.
I asked my first customer how the sale went. She said that it was fine - the only confusing bit being the US States bit (any chance of this being fixed in Express? I know other users can change it). After she paid by paypal she was automatically returned to the website, then she had an email notification through seconds later. So it all went fine - it's just that I wouldn't have known that she had ordered anything if it wasn't for the payment email from paypal that I got.

Alison,
Do you have an email address entered in the Company Contact area?
Kind regards,

Yes, that has been set up right from the start.

The only thing I can think of is that the order notification emails are somehow being bounced by your SMTP server (maybe because they have been generated by an online process rather than a person). I suggest taking this up with Actinic support via http://www.actinic.co.uk/support/register.htm and maybe they can confirm this for you.
