Custom Reports

Is it possible to have custom reports that are selectable per-order (like packing lists, invoices, etc)?

If not, then can it be added as a feature request?

I have a custom report that generates my mail labels based on orders that have been completed on the day that the report is run. However this causes problems when more than one batch of orders is processed in a day, and when multiple labels are needed for special situations.

Hi Kevin

You can add your custom report to the list in Actinic using the instructions on page 64 of the Advanced User Guide (downloadable from here (http://www.actinic.co.uk/support/downloads.htm)). Once it's been added, you can make a selection of orders and select the report to print.

Actually, it states on the page that you refer to that it's not possible.

Unfortunately, you can't add a report to work with the currently selected catalog items or orders.

Is this functionality going to be added to Actinic at all?

The only way to do this is to replace one of the standard Actinic order processing reports with your report and get it to work with the criteria that Actinic passes to it. You can replace the data entry report, the invoice report or the packing list.

If this is not possible I have a product that prints these reports from outside of Actinic, it works on either a date range or you can select a pending order by number. It has an option to look for the report file in the sites directory so you could use this as an alternate interface. More details at

Look at the print reports option.

I also have another product that will be going into alpha test this week that allow you to select orders in various ways and display a list that you can then print from selecting orders in the list - this lets you specify the report location as well.
