Is it possible to remove this section as its annoying and looks amateurish?

Couldn't agree more Ratty.

Any chance on the next upgrade?

I will add this to the wish list for both of you.

I am getting a lot of people adding things to their cart and not going any further. When I look at the order details they have not even got as far as putting in their address. I have tried this out myself and the place where they must be giving up is at "Share your details with trusted people . . ."
So I would like to add my vote for getting rid of this. It is obviously putting people off and losing me sales.

Hi All,

This feature will be made optional in the next release for Express. I do not have a date for this as yet, but will update when one is available.

Kind regards,

That features a bit naughty Bruce, under the DPA this should be optional by mandate surely?

Tut Tut ;)

Not knowing express too well, do the users have access to the code?

That's good news about the change Bruce.

Now, any chance of getting that silly US States bit in checkout changed as well?!

In the 50+ transactions I have had noone has ever wanted to share their details, not a sigle bod. I mean I wouldn't...would you?

It has gone on mine. Have you checked the box to tell it not to do it? I think it is in display options.

Sorry - just read the next post!

Hope someone can help.

Ah, I didn't get that one - must have got lost in the ether. ( or perhaps someone inadvertantly selected "Alaska" from the drop down list ;-)

Ali

Did you ever resolve the problem of abandoned orders in your store? I seem to have the same problem.

Jeff

Hi Jeff,

Really frustrating isn't it?! Things have got better, we have gone from about 7 abandoned carts to every 1 order to about 1 abandoned cart to 5 orders, which is great. It could be down to a number of things that have changed over the last couple of months - the share your details thing going might have made the difference, just the fact that we are starting to get a bit more established and the website is looking better and better, or the fact that we have started taking credit card payments as well as Paypal and cheque (just got Paypal Pro up and running).
