Shared SSL

I have recently subscibed to Actinic shared ssl, whereas it works some of the time quite often it is very slow returning from the ssl site and times out leaving the customer wondering if their order has been processed. Is there a setting that I need to check ? Any comments appreciated.

It does seem very slow compared with some of the sites I have which use it. I would give Actinic a call and see what they say.

This is the error I just got from the site:

An error occurred while recording your order. Try again or press "<Back" to select a different payment method or press "Cancel" and contact us with your order details. The error was: 500 read timeout

Thanks again, I hope I can get it sorted soon as I'm receiving orders that customers believe they have cancelled and it's making us look bad.

Just checked one of my new sites which had the Actinic SSL set-up yesterday and it transfered almost instantly. So it does look like there may be a problem with yours.

Yes, I think I will do that until I can speak to Actinic.
