View Full Version : Cant get into Shop
We completed a site which has gone live.
www.dwyers.ie
It is fully operational & products have been ordered already.
The problem is that certain users have contacted the manager stating that they cannot access the shop area.
They can however access all brochure areas of the site.
I cant replicate the problem here.
I've cleared the cache & I've tried on different machines
but it seems to be working fine.
Any one got any ideas.
Regards

Regards,
This is getting worse.
I thought it was a local issue, that the users has SSL switched off or something but I just tried the shop again & I can't access shop pages.
Has anyone got any ideas???

The links that people are having trouble with are the ones of the form:
http://www.dwyers.ie/cgi-bin/ss000001.pl?SECTIONID=Kitchen_Appliances.html&NOLOGIN=1
i.e. links that enter the store via a call to the Perl script.
If Perl is not working for some reason (i.e. the server is taking a long time to process the Perl call) then it will appear as if you cannot enter the store.
The way around this is to use fully qualified URLs for the links to the store. In other words, instead of the link above, use:
http://www.dwyers.ie/acatalog/Kitchen_Appliances.html
If you are using brochure fragments, then put this in the 'URL' field of the brochure fragment link.
The link via the Perl is only absolutely necessary if you have a mixture of logged in and logged out customers.
