Crystal Reports v9.2

Hello,

I am aware that the reports in Actinic can be modified using Crystal Reports 8.5, but my question is this.

Has anyone successfully used the latest version (which seems to be the only one they're selling at the moment) to do the same?

It's a lot of expense to go to just to find that it doesn't work!

Hi Phil

Actinic reports won't work if edited in Crystal Reports v9. I've modified the invoices.rpt in my copy of CR v9.2 and then printing the invoice generates the error 'Unable to load report'. In version 8 there was the facility to save as a previous version, whereas v9 doesn't seem to have the same backwards compatibility. :(

You can buy it from crystal decisions (and possibly pinbrook - but not sure), see www.crystaldecisions.co.uk. You only need the standard edition for Actinic but they only seem to sell the more expensive versions.

They don't seem to be selling the basic version which is all that you need. I did a quick google search for cystal reports 8.5 and lots of shops came up
