parent section navigation

Does anyone know a way to retain the parent section navigation all the way throughout the site. When i "add to cart " i lose my original navigation. i've tried adding some code to the act-primaryleft page but it does not show up on any pages thta follows the product listing. Any suggestions ???

No easy solution I am afraid, but you could try using a couple of CUSTOMVARs in the location you want the link to show along the lines of

<A HREF="CUSTOMVAR:PARENT_LINK">CUSTOMVAR:PARENT_NAME</A>

Then add these custom properties to the software and utilise them at the top of each main section tree start by adding in its page filename and the title of it.

From that point forward in each branch of the sections the primary section name and link will be displayed.
