Hi
Is there any way to edit (and manually modify) the 'whole' database.

For 'whole' database I do not mean the partial one you can see on 'View Category'

Thanks

Hi,

Can you explain what you mean by 'whole database'? Maybe you could explain exactly what you want to do.

Hi
All data input goes in a access file.

I wish to be able to export it and do what I like with it.

The obvious exporting file could be a csv or xls.

I want and need to get my hands on the whole of data we input at any time.

Thanks

Sorry for late reply, but I am 'trying' to get on with our stock taking and EPOS is doing its best to slow us down!

Hi,

I've had a word with our development team about this and there is nothing set up to do this automatically but they have suggested that you can import data into excel by going to 'Data|Import External Data|Import Data', select the proper ODBC connection and then the required tables. You may be able to write a macro to do this for you for all the tables in one go.

OK thanks for your input.

I will try it as soon as I have the time.

Unfortunately having excel 97 (!) it is not easy to extrapolate data - especially with not a lot of time.
But I am using other programmes, there are alternatives to excel and I have extrapolated data easily, but EPOS being the way it is I have to get the data I want from different forms/tables an join them together in orderto get the DATA I need.

'Partially' solved.
