Hiding Sections from Searches

On my site I have a lot of duplicate products that appear in more than one section.

Is it possible to hide sections from the search function ?

Something like a 'hide from search' tick box would be great like the 'Hide on web site' tick box at the moment.

I don't think this is possible at the moment, but it's a very good idea. It would also be beneficial if you have hidden section pages from unregistered customers. I will make it a wishlist item.
