Variable for shipping weight

I've found some old threads on this, but thought I'd see if anything has changed since then. I want to reference the total weight for an order - either include it in the email to the customer, and/or display in the cart.

Is there a variable (yet) for weight that can be referenced?

Hi Pat

v8 has a variable available called 'ShippingWeight' which shows the weight of the product as part of the product details.

There's no way to do this in v7 though. Sorry about that.

Chris, does it also have a variable for the total order weight? That's what I'm really needing.
