I use Actinic ver 5 with windows XP. It will not start up any more but comes up the error message "your site name conflicts with an existing site name". I have tried the usual fix to this problem that I used with Windows ME which consists of running REGEDIT and chainging "site" to "site1". Unfortunately this does not seem to work with windows XP. Can anyone help please???

You need to install the software and log on as the same user

I would try starting Actinic with the following command line (adjust as necessary):
"C:\Program Files\Actinic ecommerce v5\Catalog.exe" /s Site1
That should give you a short-term fix.
A longer term fix is to get yourself onto the latest version of v5 - awvailable from http://www.actinicdownloads.com/v5/.
