Using more than one computer

Hi, I would like to be able to use one computer to upload the content of my Actinic shop and another to download the orders.
I want to do this because of the way my building is laid out.
Are there any problems with this, assuming I only do each job with the same computer always.

That should be no problem. You can assign what each copy is able to do under View | Business Settings | Options > Allow on this PC

This will allow you to prevent uploading or downloading on each machine accordignly

But you will need to take care with backing up, exporting & importing sites, overwriting/not overwriting orders etc. if you are transferring data between the two machines....

(e.g. keeping the orders console up to date with the latest content - esp. if you add products to orders manually, and/or have Customer Accounts set up in 'Business'...)

It can also cause problems when, for some reason ( a change to the upload, Content PC not replicated on the download Orders PC) the Orders PC gets out of sync with the server it is drawing info. from....
