Entering Information Into Access Database

I was just wondering, if I open the access database of my actinic catalogue, and enter some information in, say product description for example, and save it, will this update in Actinic? Would this cause any problems at all?

Have been doing it for several years.
Never had a problem.
One thing I have found that if I do a query on certain product goups is that I can do a block price change

Please - do a backup before you
Just try it
just in case. Even if you do this successfully 99 times - do a backup before you do it. It only need one screw up to destroy the site if you do not have a backup.

On the product details you can change most things in the database but don't change the product reference because that will cause you problems.

Thanks for the responses. I will only be changing the descriptions and image refs as it could be easier for many products than searching in actinic all the time.
