Hi People,
Does anybody know of a way to allocate free delivery to a single product, while continuing to apply delivery charges; as a applied in the business settings, to all other products in catalog.
Thanks in advance

1. Go to 'View | Business Settings | Shipping & Handling'.
2. Make sure you are viewing the grid 'By Zone' and then do a right-click on ‘UK’.
3. Select 'Add Class | New Class' and give your new class a name of 'Free Shipping'.
4. Add a new row to the grid by pressing the '+' and enter a weight of '0.00kg' and a price of '£0.00'. Press 'Apply'.
5. Set 'Excess' to 'Do not allow Excess'.
6. Click 'OK' to close Business Settings.
7. Go to any product where you want free shipping and set the weight to '0.00kg'.

after you have set a product to 0.00kg it is required that you set that product to be shipped seperatley. :)

Is there a way to do this so if someone selects a particular item they get free shipping on the whole order...? (ie. even on products that wouldn't normally qualify one their own - and assuming that 'free over a certain amount' is not appropriate)
for example...
buy inks, delivery is £1.95 (by weight)
buy toner, delivery is £2.95 (by weight)
Buy a printer - free
Buy inks/toner with a printer - free
But only on selected printers (so 'free over' no good here)

Do the inverse. Give the Printer a weight of 1,000KG (or whatever) and setup shipping so that weights over 999Kg have zero shipping charge.

On the particular item have a heavy weight so that when it is bought, it reaches a tier in your shipping table that qualifies for no charge.
1kg - £1
2Kg - £2
100Kg - £0.00
etc.

Thanks.
You're welcome.
Lee and I both know that shipping by weight is so flexible once you realise that 'weight' is just a variable that you can modify to suit your aims. I'm not surprised we both gave you the same answer within minutes of each other.
